In November 2024, we said goodbye to my dad, Edward Esgar—a loss that leaves a lasting void, especially at the ACES Conference. Known affectionately as Ed to his friends and family, my dad was a cornerstone of ACES since its inception in New Orleans. Whether he was laying and taping wires, running last-minute errands, or brainstorming HDMI layouts with me, Ed’s dedication and spirit were woven into the fabric of ACES.
Without him, ACES will never be the same.
To honor his legacy, we are proud to introduce the Edward Esgar ACES Scholarship. This scholarship is open to anyone who embodies the selflessness and generosity my dad was known for. Whether you’re applying yourself or recommending someone deserving, we want to hear about how the applicant goes above and beyond—not just as an IT professional but as someone who supports others in meaningful, impactful ways.
